INVESTITURE CEREMONY AT ST. XAVIERS CMI PUBLIC SCHOOL, BHAVNAGAR(27TH JULY 2019)
St. Xaviers CMI Public School, Bhavnagar had organized the Investiture Ceremony on 27 July 2019 with true splendour and zest. It was truly a defining moment as the function was held in the spacious auditorium of the school. The school Principal Fr. Sanil, Father Sebastian, Sister Teslit, the teachers and parents of all the school leaders graced the occasion. The Investiture ceremony is a solemn occasion for the young students who are proffered the mantle of leadership. The event commenced at 8.15 am. The invited parents of the leaders were cordially welcomed by offering them bouquets by the students. The students of the school Ms. Anwita Pandya and Mr. Jimesh Jamba vivaciously compered the ceremony.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer dance was performed by the school students. The clapping and thunderous response to this dance testified the fact that the dancers did an uplifting and impressive job. This was ensued by the function of lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Administrator and ex-school leaders accompanied by others. The compère thanked the Principal and Administrator and urged the students present there to emulate the example of the candle as candle tells us that it doesn’t lose anything by lighting another candle. Therefore, the students should set exemplary examples to inspire others.
Mr Jay Upadhyay, a student of the school graciously welcomed Principal, Administrator, Sister and parents. He said that a leader should shoulder more responsibility and motivate other students. While welcoming the parents he fondly recalled the lines: To the world, you may be the person, but to one person you may be the world. He reiterated about the leadership qualities: Reach high for stars, lie hidden in your soul, and dream deep – for every dream leads the goal.”
One tree can start a forest, one word can frame a goal, one candle can wipe out darkness, and true leaders have the confidence to start alone.
The next student Mr Ariman Jethwa averred that history is replete with examples where several ordinary people had done extraordinary things and had become successful leaders. They had succeeded in transforming every adversity into an opportunity. One has to persevere tenaciously to make a niche in life. The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.
The salient feature of this year’s Investiture Ceremony was there was an excellent March Past by the school leaders accompanied by its ritualistic music.
Thereafter, the parents were invited to honour the elected leaders with colourful sashes and badges. School teacher of Physical Education Mr Vipul Pandya took the initiative to conduct the oath-taking ceremony. The student leaders were invited to the stage. Fr Sanil Thomas, Principal, administered the solemn oath. It was a scintillating spectacle to watch this spectacle. The principal congratulated the elected leaders and thanked the parents for sparing their time to be available for this purpose. He exhorted the students of the institution to discipline themselves to make their life richer and to bring laurels to their parents as well as to the institution.
The ecstatic Investiture ceremony became a splendorous occasion for the students, parents and all those who were present in the auditorium.
